Maintenance Check List & Schedule
Precautions Necessary for all Items:
Do not modify apparatus (or device) in any way, nor should you utilize another manufacturers components as attachments to our products. Do not use the apparatus if it shows sign of severe wear, or if broken or damaged. Keep body, hair and clothing away from all moving parts. Be aware that personal accessories (such as Jewelry) can easily damage vinyl covering of equipment and can easily become entangled with moving parts of equipment. We highly recommend that clients be requested to remove any item of jewelry that has sharp edges or protrudes or hangs away from the body. Never allow children to be around or on equipment If you are using the equipment daily, but intermittently, we strongly suggest a monthly maintenance program . If the equipment is used daily and continuously, we would recommend a weekly maintenance schedule A weekly inspection of your springs is critical due to the potential of serious injury resulting from spring failure. Springs should be immediately replaced if any distortion to the appearance of springs is observed or any unusual sounds emanate from the springs. The average life of Reformer springs should be 18 months if the Reformer is continuously used, whereupon they should be replaced. Wipe all equipment down daily with a heavily diluted soapy solution. Dry thoroughly. Vinyl can be disinfected with disinfectant products containing sodium hypochlorite (common household bleach) diluted 1:10.
Reformer: (Monthly Schedule) Check wheels for wear. Wheels should be lubricated monthly or quarterly, depending on usage, using white Lithium grease (liquid form available in an aerosol can, solidform available in a plastic tube). Surplus grease should be removed to ensure that it does not fall on the tracks. Do not lubricate (or silicone spray) the tracks. Check all bolts for tightening and security and retighten if necessary. Check springs for wear or distortion.
